This logo was selected to represent Spring 2025 Design Streak Studio. Each semester, every intern creates a variation of the studio logo, and one is chosen collectively to represent that term’s work. My concept draws inspiration from knitting, a process where individual loops intertwine to form a strong, unified whole. Like knitting, Design Streak thrives on patience, craftsmanship, and collaboration. As Design Streak enters its fifth decade, the logo reflects 43 years of growth shaped by student designers, art directors, and clients. The five intertwined strands symbolize five generations of evolution, weaving together past and present. The gradient reinforces continuous progress, while varied colors represent the diversity of voices and skills that define the studio. Just as every thread strengthens a knitted piece, each generation builds upon the last, creating an enduring legacy that continues to evolve.

Fall 2025 Logo
This logo was created as an option to represent Design Streak for the Fall of 2025. Although it was not chosen, my concept for this logo was to represent a slice of cake. Cakes often appear when people gather to celebrate a special occasion. The “Cherry on top” refers to the common Idiom that describes a pleasing addition that makes something already good, better. This slice of cake is the perfect representation of the celebration and the cherry on top of every project we complete together as a studio. The negative space represents the cake filling. This cake filling is dripping into each part of the D, symbolizing the collaborative effort of the Intern, creative director, and client in creating something sweet and memorable.

spring 2026 Logo
This logo was created as an option to represent Design Streak for the Spring of 2026. Although it was not chosen, my concept for this logo draws inspiration from the Ginkgo Tree Leaf. Particularly, its fresh green appearance in the spring. Often referred to as a “living fossil,” the ginkgo dates back over 270 million years and is native to East Asia. For years, the ginkgo tree served as a meaningful gathering place outside the Wonsook School of Fine Arts. As the school undergoes physical renovations and transitions into the School of Art and Design, the tree was removed to make space for this new chapter. This logo pays tribute to the ginkgo’s legacy while symbolizing growth, transformation, and the evolving future of Design Streak Studio and the Wonsook School of Art and Design.
